I was sitting in a circle in a classroom with a group of classmates. When we got up to leave, I had the feeling that I wasn’t going to be seeing them again, even though it felt like I didn’t even get to know any of them. We watched a person run around a rooftop stairway through a window and wondered how they moved so fast. At one point their jacket changed into a light blue.
I walked out from behind the lecture hall and down to the train station. There was an announcement that the train couldn’t go yet because it was still waiting for another passenger so I hurried up. Even though no one else got on, the doors still closed and I missed it. Someone to the right started walking towards me and we were now at a bus stop. They wanted to buy me a drink and the shopkeeper who was also the bus driver asked for our ID. He then changed his mind however and said we wouldn’t need any if we could pay exactly $9.99. I looked at the vending machine and told this stranger that I would do fine with getting water for myself.
