It was nighttime and everyone was sitting around a square coffee counter. I looked behind me to find a pencil sharpener with a storefront design on its cover. For some reason I thought it would open to an actual store until I pulled out the shavings drawer and saw nothing but the rotating blades lit up from the inside.

A group of girls walked up to us asking if we had seen their grappling hook anywhere. No one knew what they were talking about but they insisted that it was thrown in this direction so someone sitting here must have took it.

A moment later, someone pulled out a hand-crank flashlight that was plugged into a hand-crank extension cord. They started to turn both of the cranks simultaneously and the flashlight lit up.

I was training somewhere in the middle of the night while trying to avoid capture. When I saw the beams of light that were heading in my direction from the people I was avoiding, I got up and jumped over the nearest fence. I ended up on a fenced-in beach and started running along the water. I didn’t know where I was going and knew I was horribly exposed if they ever decided to look in my general direction but I kept running anyways.
