I was a kind of test subject for academic workloads. All of my work was to be done on alternating days. An image of a red horse was used as a form of brainwashing. My calculus homework was about fireworks.

My brother and I followed a strange man onto a bus that we’ve never been on before. We were bound for a ski trip with a bus full of strangers. As the bus went up the mountain, it started snowing. I asked someone sitting in the front how cold it was going to be, seeing that I wasn’t quite dressed for the occasion. “It can’t be that cold. It’s just snow” my brother interjected.

I looked through my backpack to look at my schedule and realized that now I was going to miss my physics class at 10:25.
