My family and I had quickly walked through the airport terminal and straight into immigration. I had already gone through security when they asked for my boarding pass. I panicked, for all I could find was the e-ticket which most likely meant that I never got one printed out at the check-in counter. My dad was confused, after all he had his boarding pass at hand.
I left my bag on the belt and ran out with my dad following closely behind me. The counters were closed so we had to find another way to get a boarding pass. We ran down through a tunnel and found ourselves in the middle of a city. I was holding two T-shirts, one red and another gray.
My dad climbed up a precarious bamboo ladder and looked into a window. I was afraid he was going to fall as he slid back down on one side. After getting onto the ground, he started to hug the concrete walls of the buildings around us. He told me it was so he wouldn’t bump into any glass.
