I had woken up at my brother’s place and he was preparing breakfast with his wife.

There was a showing of Little Witch Academia and for some reason I had thought that the English version was getting redubbed. The various voice actors were talking about their quirks, both in real life and for their characters. One person claimed to have a genetic disorder where they were missing two of the nucleic bases (one of them being cytosine). As a result, they tended to get overworked easily and stressed over minor things. They started to show everyone a short workout routine, to which many people in the audience took out their phones to record.
I remembered that I had gone to sleep at 3AM and when I woke up I checked my phone to see that it was 6PM. It was already dark out as I glanced through my dorm room window out into the yard. The next time I checked my phone, it was nearly midnight and the sky was getting brighter already. I decided to take a shower.
I had failed both my Chinese and Japanese language exams that I had taken in the same week. Such was a natural result of not having taken classes for either in years nor studying prior to the exams. Everyone else claimed that the exams were easy and only required a quick review of some vocabulary.
“How did we get away with this?” I asked, “… or are we committing a new crime?” I couldn’t figure out where I was in time and space. The reconstructions were so authentic that there would even be an illusion of free will when we carried out the same set of actions.
It was the beginning of a school day and I was heading out the door with four pieces of luggage. I was told to take the elevator to the underground parking lot first because of how much I was carrying with me. When I got to the parking lot, I wasn’t sure which direction I was supposed to go.
I was informed at the last minute that my dorm room had changed. I no longer had a room to myself and instead got assigned a desk in the middle of the library. Our HA was holding their yearly icebreaker activity, which involved a trip to a nearby beach. I stopped by the library to put things down at my room (desk), thinking that I would catch up to them later.
We were playing a game that revolved around a group of friends during a unidentified viral outbreak in the city. We were playing a route where the main heroine dies in a train accident rather early in the game. A group had found refuge underground and we were now making our way towards them. We took a shot of drugs to the abdomen.
It was a frantic morning and someone asked me to double check whether or not two of the sources they were going to reference to write their paper were legitimate. Someone else told me that they hadn’t received an e-mail from me today - while people in other groups had from their respective team leaders. “Oh, they’re just doing that for fun”, I said, dismissing their concern.
It was right about exam week and we were talking about what classes we had signed up to take next semester. Even though we should be studying, there were events on campus packed throughout the week, including an all-day breakfast. People were looking through the hallway window into my room when I went in to glance at my to-do list on my desk.
