The cafeteria line that I was waiting in split into two in front of me so I arbitrarily chose the branch on the right. This happened to be the line for desserts so I picked out an ice cream before circling back to the end of the line.

I was in a school science lab and we were tightening vises that were clamped onto the tables. I tried to keep my distance as I was afraid they might suddenly blow up from the pressure.

We were scaling a near vertical cliff face that also resembled a highway up the side of an erupting volcano. Molten rock and debris were raining down on us as we tried to crawl our way up the smooth rock. What can only be described as a magma worm was also weaving in and out of the ground.

I woke up not knowing where I was or what I was doing. It was still night out. My body felt sore and kind of gross. I felt ashamed of the possibilities. I walked out of the room and collapsed onto the couch in the unlit living room. On the way there I passed by a motion sensor that played a cat meowing sound while a blue LED blinked. It felt like it was my brother’s place but the actual rooms were completely foreign to me.

I was on the bus ride home but was afraid of missing my stop because I kept dozing off. Eventually what I feared had come to pass as I woke up to the bus turning onto an unfamiliar street. Fortunately however, the driver decided to make a U-turn in the middle of the road so they could explain in detail how bus stops worked. I was a bit confused why all of the stop names differed not only from my memory but also how they were written. It turned out that they were not reading them out in English.

A cable car that had stretched across Victoria Harbour had collapsed in front of our eyes. A tall supporting tower had fallen towards the water and crashed onto a platform in the middle of the waterway. We quickly made our way to the wreckage on our small boat and were relieved to find that no one had been injured.

We were lining up for a Genshin Impact “pre-roll” event in one of the classrooms on campus. However the event wasn’t about getting early access to upcoming content; we were here to collectively dream about the new banner (literally). It was this latter aspect that interested me most, I didn’t even play the game nor have it installed. I thought to myself that if I wasn’t into what was going on I could just voluntarily wake up.

I was watching Artosis play a round of TvT and the game had gotten to the point where both players were making nukes. His opponent had made multiple layers of walls with Supply Depots and it didn’t seem like the game was ending any time soon. Suddenly everyone’s units swarmed the middle of the map to jump into a rectangular void and ended the game in a draw.

I was hanging out with some friends at my place and we had decided we’d head out for the rest of the afternoon. I turned around to tell my parents that we likely wouldn’t be back for dinner. However we ended up chatting in the living room for so long that we were still in the house by the time we would’ve had dinner. I went into my room to roll a large ball of sticky tack.

My cousin and friend were in my room and we were watching something on our laptops in the dark. I could barely make out a phone conversation outside my door - something about links to Hamas and the Chinese government. When I took my earphones out, my friend said he got a text message and thinks that the landlady might want to talk to me. I told him I felt like I was about to pass out. “And I need to shower” I added. I stumbled around in the dark trying to get to my phone charger which was under the round coffee table at the foot of the bed. As I knelt down to plug my phone in I felt a foot pushing against by back, pinning my chest to the sofa in front of me. I couldn’t breathe.
