The upper courtyard of the house was shared with several other complexes nearby. I was hanging out under the sun when I saw someone pull their curtains shut. Apparently one of the residents had just moved out recently and was looking to sell their property. I walked back towards the window of the house I came from and looked at the steep metal spiral staircase and brick walls.

I thought that I had shaved off my facial hair but I could still feel it on my face. What I was seeing in the bathroom mirror was not matching what I could feel with my fingers. I walked out of my room to find someone to ask what they saw because I couldn’t trust the mirror.

We could see the shoreline slowly being consumed by the rising waters as we crowded onto the roof. The big flood that people had been warning us about for years was finally here as parking lots and old churches alike sank below the waves. It seemed like our apartment was the only building in the area high enough to last until sunset.

I was playing the new PoE league and the mechanic involved collecting a bunch of “storm fragments” to access a series of endgame zones. I chatted with a professor about the league mechanic feeling a little bland. I needed to pee so I walked around the top floor until I spotted a urinal that was between two doors to the rooftop. As I walked up to it, crowds of students started streaming through the glass doors.

There was an announcement that Hearthstone Battlegrounds was now playable on a browser. I decided to check it out and I was led through a tutorial that explained all the differences it had with the base game. The onboarding experience also involved a lot of cinematics.

I was at a fancy restaurant when I got a LINE message from my uncle. It was a video from a Taiwan news report about a local car crash. Apparently multiple cars were going at high speeds in the wrong direction on the freeway. I called him to ask what he meant by sending me that video.

I was in a shopping mall with my mom when we were approached by a lady holding a small booklet. She started talking about some kind of immigration interview and needing us to sign our names in the book. She kept going on about how it was urgent and that it was to make up for some past error in the process. My mom already had a pen in her hand when I finally had enough and grabbed the green booklet.

A strange creature was wandering near the furnaces. It looked like a normal human from the right angle but whenever it turned slightly it was apparent that its head was flat, almost as if it was 2 dimensional. We were observing it from the distance when it noticed us and started attacking my friend. I quickly grabbed a pizza peel and shoveled some hot coals onto it before stabbing the alien in the “neck”. I kept slicing at the “flesh” which split apart like raw dough until it was decapitated. The creature stopped moving. Both of us were surprised that we had really cut off its “head” as we expected otherworldly beings to have dissimilar anatomical structures.

I was entering some kind of video editing contest but everyone had to submit their entries in person. I was next in line with a flash drive in hand only to be told that it had the wrong USB type. I tried to think of the best way to submit my entry and settled on converting the file so that it could be sent over a private message. The other people behind me in line got annoyed as I kept revising the message that accompanied the attachment.

I wanted to print a note but I didn’t have any paper around. I decided to fry a slice of toast to use as a surface. A family friend saw me in the kitchen asked me if I was trying to make a grilled cheese. I hesitantly replied “Yes” and slapped down a slice of American.
