We were playing videogames on the TV. Someone leaned over and sniffed another person’s back. I started grinding my teeth with a sensation of plastic plates in my mouth.

I was coming back to the office after my lunch break when I looked at the calendar and realized that I actually had nothing scheduled for the rest of the day. It was a Monday and I wasn’t really sure what I was supposed to do.

We were watching a talent show and the last scheduled performance was a couple singing a duet. Just when we thought the show was over, my dad drunkenly stumbled onto the stage and started singing “Don’t Stop Me Now” at the top of his lungs.

I was directing people where to go inside of a busy train station.

It was 7:15 and I had a bus to catch. I was running down the street when I slowed down to overhear a conversation that piqued my interest. I wanted to stick around as I was already going to be late anyways. It was then that I realized I had also forgotten all of my stuff at home.

We were learning how to make pizza on the fly after taking over someone else’s pizzeria. I presented a plate of pickled artichokes to a table of guests. The gimmick of our store was that we let the customers taste a sample of the toppings before putting the rest onto the dough and into the oven.

I was helping as a volunteer at an anime convention which allowed me to skip not only the lines but also a pop culture quiz that was supposed to filter a portion of the attendees. My first task was leading people through the entrance of the convention hall.

A friend was teaching us and his son about an animal called the Botie. It was a relative of the sloth which apparently had latent psychic and mind control abilities. However the specimen in front of us seemed to prefer to sleep and eat slices of tomatoes off the floor.

I had a new job lined up but I still needed to fill in a questionnaire that I’d yet to begin reading. I was wandering up and down the stairs of the library when I was told that there was going to be a new dinner routine. Dinner was now going to be served by hiding plates of food around the neighborhood as a way to incentivize people to come down to eat early. I walked through the snowy streets until I spotted a green plate in someone’s garden.

We had been waiting all night outside of a board game store waiting for its doors to open. The store was offering some special goods as a part of a vtuber collaboration event. It was nearly 5 AM when we walked up the counter and was informed that there were already about 200 people inside the store. I was confused how that could be the case as we had been standing outside for hours and hadn’t seen anyone go inside during that time.
