I had been looking around campus all night in search of a particular stuffed toy with a number tag attached to it. The fog rolled in as it started getting bright out. The running event on campus was about to begin. A mass of people were gathered at the end of the bridge, waiting for the signal. Various tents and canvas coverings were set up over the route in anticipation for rain. I found myself whistling various classical progressions to calm myself.

I was on the top floor of the building to help out with decorating the rooftop patio. It was a little too dark so I was responsible for placing some extra lamps among the bushes that surrounded the seating areas.

I went to the beach with my dad which also had a small water park nearby. We met up with my brother among the crowd and watched a lecture being held inside of a pool. Bleachers packed with people were set in the unfilled pool to resemble auditorium seating. The lecturer was talking about how as a species we’ve had to keep reinventing the same things over and over. “Why not commit to a small brain?” He mused, “they got smaller for a reason.”
