We were on vacation on a tropical island and my mom and I were trying to find our way through the hotel. My grandma was looking for us.
I walked down the stairs after a long day of laying in bed. I was talking on the phone with my brother about maybe moving. He said something about 28th street being associated with surfing. I was sitting on the sand inside of an old brick building. My mother was buried in the said with only her face peeking out as the water started rising. I felt something was wrong when she didn’t get up even after a few waves washed over her face. I quickly jumped over to dig her out and gave her a few hard pats on the back to help her cough the water out. I looked at the bar a level below us through a hole in the floor to see it was completely flooded.
I had trouble keeping my eyes open and my dad told me to get some rest before noon. He said something about how I should give him daily updates when I start my job search in September. I didn’t have the energy to reply as my mind drifted to thinking about bikes.
I was depositing some money at an ATM when I noticed there was a stack of cash already in the tray. I looked around before counting a few thousand dollars in total. I hastily pushed it back into the ATM along with my original deposit.
My brother asked me if I was interested in coming along for a Yu-Gi-Oh prerelease, adding that he knew the guy who was running it. It turned out that I was also acquainted with them through a mutual friend.
I was holding a measuring tape in one hand and a thick straw in the other. I jabbed the straw into the body of the measuring tape and water started coming out from the top. I rushed downstairs and out the door as water sprayed out from the top like a sprinkler. I ran through the residential area with a constant mist in front of my face.
I had to stop my niece from throwing dumbbells across the room. I told her that someone could get hurt and how one of the wooden cabinets on the other side of the bed had already been smashed in. My brother said how it was easier to avoid hitting people than objects nearby.
We had just pulled off a bank heist not by robbing the bank, but by stealing the cargo from another group. After a lengthy car chase, we found a place to lay low near the airport. However the authorities had caught on to our location just moments after I realized my accomplice was driving the same car as the one he used to carry out the heist that sent him to jail 10 years ago.
We were occupying a store selling glass art because we believed that they were using AI to create their works. We had spent the better half of the afternoon standing around in their shop until it was time to close. On my way home I saw a large block of exhibition tents set up by the waterfront and people eating at the tables under them.
I didn’t want to keep waiting for everyone else to get ready so I headed out the door early. A few people wanted to stop by the doctors office when we passed and I went on without them, reasoning that if I wasn’t going to wait earlier, then I shouldn’t wait now.
