I was riding on a two-wheeled motorized vehicle after school. Elastic bands that went over the neck held my arms in a sling. The vehicle accelerated whenever I pushed down(outwards) with my forearms.

I was late to the first day of class and didn’t get a choice over where to sit. As I settled down, I overheard people talking about the terms of their rent. Someone mentioned a “blood loan”.
I was watching my friends play against each other in Smash Brothers. They were talking about an upcoming tournament and how one of them had taken in a new apprentice in Smash.
It was dark out and we were driving up the hill on our way home from the store. I was in charge of bagging up the groceries from the front seat of the car. Someone asked me what the rush was as we would have plenty of time to organize everything when we got home and I wouldn’t have to twist my body backwards in a moving car.
Today’s Japanese class started with a vocabulary test. I felt extremely unprepared but managed to conceal my panic as I casually sifted through my notebook as the rest of the class was settling in. It wasn’t until the test began that I realized we had to write our answers on the whiteboard. I wasn’t able to translate a single phrase and broke down in front of the classroom.
I was on the second floor and there was a pile of pencil-case shaped beanbags in the middle of the room. The beanbags had different illustrations of various Nintendo franchises. I picked up a beanbag with a Groudon on it and threw it at the ground. Every time it hit the ground, it would change into a different Gen III Pokemon.
I was pacing around the bookstore looking for something to spend the last of my spare change on. I didn’t have much time left to pick as we were about to leave. I scanned my eyes across the various shelves around the cashier and entrance of the store. There was a book about “perennial hot plates” and next to it was a book of jokes about cum. It advertised itself as the legacy of juvenile internet humor of the 2000s.
Our class was split into groups of four and we were assigned to set up a blog and write anime reviews. My classmates were all people from my elementary school days. We looked at the Moodle page for directions on how to get our Wordpress site up and running. We were assigned to write a review for FLCL. The teacher was patrolling around the island of computers in the middle of the room. When she walked behind a kid across from us, she scolded him for searching up and watching a review for an anime that their group was assigned: Flip Flappers. She wanted our thoughts and impressions to be original, or at the very least least - authentic.
I was watching the new Boogiepop anime with some friends over a Discord call. Someone else called for a quick break when I felt myself swaying in my seat. I told the others that it felt like everything was shaking. I looked out the window to see the the lights from the dense city below. The building started to move more violently and this time I could definitely tell that an earthquake was happening.
I was playing Smash Ultimate with my brother. My laptop was linked to the console as a second monitor but when I went to adjust the screen, the video output on the television cut out. We decided to just use my laptop screen instead. I was playing as King Dedede against my brother’s Meta Knight and we had a pretty even game. As the two of us were falling to the bottom of the stage towards the killzone on our last stocks, I pressed A in anticipation of quickly skipping the victory screen. However I had pressed the button too early and it paused the game instead.
