I was playing a 3D platformer on the Switch with my brother but he had fallen asleep on the couch. I started watching videos that revealed character-specific secret levels on the stages. There was one that involved juggling bombs as Link while sliding down a hill to open the way to a secret temple.

I was looking for my bag among the mountains of other personal belongings that no one had bothered to pick up from the baggage carousel. No one else was here in this unlit concrete station. I manged to find my pencil case and some clothes, but not the bag that I had put everything in.

My brother, his wife, and I were preparing our own breakfasts. I was making some kind of salad when I needed to use the restroom. I went to the toilet on the second floor and needed to pee so much that I had to flush halfway through in order to prevent the toilet bowl from overflowing.

The world was being terrorized by flocks of murderous crows that ripped the flesh of anyone who went out of their homes. The streets were littered with gory remains as people were still trying to find ways to escape. There were rumors that the northern regions were free of the birds.

It was the night before the first day of the semester and I had just realized that I needed to write a paper for tomorrow. I rushed to the library on the third floor to check out whatever books I needed for this philosophy paper. Since it was technically still the holiday, the library was scheduled to close at 9:30PM, less than an hour from now.

A Japanese online store had accepted my job application for a graphics and web design position. It was one of those applications I had sent out on a whim and now I was noticing that I would be massively underpaid. I asked my friend over Discord whether I should accept the job as I hadn’t yet received replies for any of the other places I had applied to.

I was watching a documentary about a group of people trying to commentate and broadcast a sports game in German Catalonia. They had happened upon an abandoned and overgrown villa and needed to bring it up to studio standards. They tried to fix the acoustics in the main room by putting all of the scattered books onto their respective shelves.

We had gotten back from our class field trip and returned to our classroom on the top floor. My group was one of the last to arrive. “You’re such a baby”, someone said as we walked in. It was already dark and everyone was picking up their things, ready to head home. Someone had packed my laptop into my backpack in my absence. I thought that it was probably because my things were in the way. I checked the time, it was 10PM and I was dead tired. The buses had long stopped so I had to walk home.

I walked into the bathroom on the first floor and saw a fox and a white dog in the bathtub. The fox scampered out as I opened the door while the dog continued to sit in the tub under the shower head. I was intending to take a shower but I felt too sleepy to bother dealing with the dog occupying the tub and walked back out. The TV was still on in the bedroom.

I had taken a long walk around town looking for a place to have dinner. However, I failed to find anything that caught my eye so I simply headed back home. I looked through the house to find something to eat but I couldn’t so I just forgot about it. It was around this time that my parents had returned home. They asked me if I had already ate - I lied and said that I went out for dinner.
