There was a bulletin board in the hallway dedicated to leaving anonymous reviews of people you know. My board just so happened to be be right by the door and was already filled up. I quickly scanned from the bottom up to see notes claiming that I was intimidating or to “stay away”. Another review claimed that I was an exception to not judging someone by their looks. Others said that I was a “great writer, but shit entertainer”. And finally the review at the very top said to not take anything I say seriously, along with an flier for an upcoming theater production. Other gaps in the board were also filled with various advertisements and posters for preventing scams.

My aunt was talking about buying a Wii for a relative in Taiwan. My brother said how it might be better to buy a console in Taiwan instead in case of region locked games.

For some reason she sat at the teacher’s desk at the front of the room in every class we shared. I could feel her eyes judging me until I started to uncontrollably stumble whenever I was walking between the desks. I decided to excuse myself from class just this once.

I kept missing the exits because I was driving too quickly until I was forced to make a left into a parking lot. In order to get out of the parking lot, I had to drive up a flight of stairs so I could take an elevator down. My niece in the back seat was just about to wake up as she cried for high fives and fist bumps from everyone in the car.

I changed into a pair of jeans under a white lace dress. “Pants in this weather?” my cousin asked me. I said that I couldn’t tell what temperature it was outside as we stepped into the elevator.

I was lying in my bed and I felt bits of a toothpick stuck between my bottom front teeth. I tried to pick it out but progress was slow. When I moved my other arm, I suddenly felt something bite my index finger. I looked down to see that a cat was hugging my arm over the blanket and tried to resist any movement I made.

It was late at night when we decided to move from the school bus into the building to find a spot to continue gossiping about other students. We had trouble finding an empty classroom, so the five of us or so settled on a room which already had another group of people staying after school for some kind of art project. It didn’t take long before we had more people dropping by to chat as they entered the room.

It was the beginning of the new semester and I had somehow ended up in a family-sized dorm with multiple bedrooms. My parents were visiting me earlier and my dad had left his phone charger in the room.

I walked through the chain link fence around the storage room on the edge of the field. I heard a baby crying so I walked around the building until I saw a small vegetable garden. The source of the crying turned out to be a baby made out of straw buried among the vegetables. I quickly turned around and walked through the way I came.
