It was the second week of our trip to Japan. We were checking out of the hotel and getting onto the bus to catch a boat.
When I woke up I checked my phone to see that it was around midnight. However, it was still bright outside. Apparently I was supposed to be at a wedding today. I wanted to scream about the fact that I felt like I had a massive gap in my memory.
I was in the lobby of the hotel and I needed to go to the airport to catch a connecting flight at 17:35. The problem was that I actually had not yet booked said flight and had not arranged for any transportation to get the airport. I looked at my phone to check the messages in my family groupchat about what time the next flight was. My mother said not to bother trying to get the same flight and just pick whatever was most convenient. I walked up the service counter in an attempt to ask about the airport shuttle and was handed a form to fill out in Japanese.
I was being chased down the alley by someone driving a car calling me a traitor. I eventually managed to find an open door and walked into the house and closed the door shut behind me. With no way to lock the door, I had no choice but to hold it shut by leaning my body against it. I looked up to see my brother and father in the room. Apparently it was game night.
Some friends wanted to go to the beach and were trying to wake me up. They eventually left my room for a short moment at which point I got out of bed and went to browse the net. I was reading some development blogs about the art behind some new skins for an Overwatch event. I decided I would hide somewhere in case they came back to check on me in my room.
We were walking through the highschool campus and the buildings were at least 10 stories high. “This school is huge” I commented.
We needed to pick up some boxes that were still in storage so I walked down to the warehouse a few blocks down the street. When I got to the room that our boxes were stored in, I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to move all the boxes without a car.
I pulled down the projector screen and was unable to get it to roll back up. My panic further escalated when I realized that my laptop was projected onto the screen.
The office building was empty apart from the few guards on their final patrol for the night. We were waiting for said guards to leave before meeting with the others. Unfortunately someone didn’t get the memo and opened the door and a long beam of light from within the room spilled into the atrium.
I was being chased down the hill as I shouted towards the docks for someone to prepare a boat. As I approached the water, I jumped into the boat and started paddling away. We were around halfway to the other shore when our boat started to sink. I jumped out with my stuff in an attempt to lighten the load and swim the rest of the way.
