Part of the race involved running through a pebble paved obstacle course composed of multi-tiered stone platforms. At the very bottom level, the path would sometimes lead into a shallow swamp with tall grasses and mud. In addition, small creatures would swarm and bog down whoever got entangled in the vegetation. In response to seeing others struggle with this, I tried my best to stay on the highest route possible - until I met a dead end. I was standing on a square platform a good 10 stories up from the now vast expanse of brown dirt. Ahead of me lay an impossible jump to another platform with small gardens of grass, denoting that it was definitely not meant to be traversed. I looked down and wondered if I was standing at a lethal height until someone ran past me on the right and jumped off. They stopped moving after hitting the ground.

My family and I were at the bus stop and my mother was carrying a board designed for dragging heavy things around (think dolly cart but more narrow and with smaller wheels) while my brother was holding an unpacked duvet that seemed to be getting a little out of hand. We were going to take the bus on the red line when my dad and brother suggested that they go home first to put their stuff down.

We had just said our goodbyes and I was leaving her room when she grabbed me for a hug. That hug soon transitioned into a heavy make out session until I pulled back to ask her “is this real?““What do you mean? Of course it is.” She replied.“Is it?” I insisted.I pinched my nose and found out that I was indeed still dreaming.

We were walking on the sidewalk and it was getting dark. On the right was a zoo that usually had a $3 entrance fee, but since tours were no longer being provided for the day, we were able to get in for free. My brother mentioned the large storm drain that was framed with dark green paint on the ramp before we turned past the security kiosk.

We wanted to find the origins of an old platformer. The player controlled a floating eye creature through a cave collecting items and power-ups along the way. I had found a no longer used file directory online dedicated to an early 2000s Sims community. There were files of a member named “fredu” who had done the concept art for this game. I revealed my findings to the group while continuing to search for other people who may have been involved in the project.

My brother was talking about game controllers. Someone else in the room was playing a fighting game and said how “loser always blocked the first punch”. They later added how “some cuteness is more embedded” than others.

A family friend was getting married and one of their honeymoon options was Harbin. I was sitting in the back of the car to pick up someone from the supermarket. We found her standing in the parking lot and people were harassing her for not being able to speak Mandarin.

I had applied to take a Japanese proficiency test and they had required me to send in some materials to the testing center in Seattle before the actual examination. I had to provide 6 contacts that I recently had conversations with in Japanese as well as list the words that I used most frequently in my speech. In additional, I also had to submit an essay that required the use of many technical terms describing the government and internal politics of Tibet. I wasn’t able to do any of these.

Our destination was a large mattress that laid in the middle of an open field. Toxic fumes were being released as time was running out. I jumped from the edge of the building, gliding towards our target.

We were sitting in the back of the car going through the city in the middle of the night. Illuminated signs were displayed on top of the single story stores that we passed by. Each sign was a screen shot of different scenes from various anime. “Hey, you’ve watched Tatami, right?” he asked, referring to one of the signs that whizzed by.
