I was walking by the waterfront when my father decided to wrestle me to the ground. Someone in the background said that I was bad at dealing with heights to which my dad agreed with. As he climbed onto the apartment building, I ran inside to find myself in a maze of multiple floors. I jumped from floor to floor, propelling myself from the curves and arches of doorways. I briefly stopped at the 27th before getting to the 30th story. I found myself at the end of a dressing room before I collapsed onto the floor and had a panic attack.

There was an elderly Korean lady and former backpacker in the room advising against us to go on the hike. “You will lose everything” she repeated. It would just be like that one time we found ourselves in the snowy peaks and were forced to cross the frozen river on stilts in order to (unsuccessfully) get away from ice creature that was following us.

We entered the indoors hot spring which was so crowded I could barely get into any of the pools. We were sitting around the the stone table and the person in front of me accusingly said “You actually do care, don’t you?” She mentioned how I would always sit a little differently in my chair with my legs crossed whenever the topic came up. Meanwhile I was trying to split a cup into two halves by tracing a line where I wanted them to separate. I wasn’t too long until the earthquake hit and sunlight beamed down unto the surface through the collapsed concrete roof. For a brief moment everything felt like it was in slow motion as time itself went through a rippling effect. The thought of doing anything afterwards just felt so pointless that I didn’t bother to move beyond turning my head to the left and asking if everyone else also felt the slight disturbance of time.

We were trying to get our car out of the parking lot in the middle of the night but it seemed like some other cars were now in our way. We had to maze through the parking lot before we managed to get out.

We walked across the open plaza towards a building composed mostly of glass in the middle of a hot summer day. Someone asked me what kinds of things I was interested in and gave a few suggestions such as sand, glass, and other miscellaneous things that I no longer remember.

It was either the case that I couldn’t find what I wanted on the convenience store shelves or that I simply didn’t know what I was looking for. I was seeking for something to sate a craving due to nostalgia. I walked out of the store into the darkness resembling either a cavern or some kind of underground parking lot. Someone shot me for reasons unknown to me.
