I wanted to go to sleep but the sun hadn’t set yet. I was scrolling through some photos on some kind of social media site. None of the photos were sorted and they mostly consisted of pictures of architecture and the sky. There were a few streaks here and there that were scenes at a restaurant or aquarium but they were few and far between. There were also about 5 short videos of my brother and his wife posing in front of a nondescript grey building in cosplay. Each costume was vastly different but the time of day didn’t seem to change between the videos.

We had been assigned to read about various scientists and their contributions to technology for class but it seemed like no one had done so. We were now all sitting in the library. One article was chosen specifically because her contributions had remained fairly obscure. When someone asked why they had never heard of the female soviet scientist that heavily changed the course of biorobotic augmentations, the professor simply replied that it was because such stories “do not sell” in America.
