It seems like a serial killer was on the loose in Taipei. Apparently this one was especially notorious for gutting his victims and leaving their remains all over the streets. I was walking down one such street with my parents at night and caught a glimpse of a dead man with his intestines spilling out over a pile of rubble.

“Use the Internet. But use it differently.” The principal was speaking to me privately in the gym. He went on to talk about how people are relying on the Internet too much for instant gratification and are missing the real potential of such a great resource. “Don’t kill yourself on it like everyone else is doing,” he added. “And don’t give its owners a hard time,” a nearby janitor chimed in.

We were in the tea area of the hotel and my friend was rather restless. It was unlike him but he seemed really keen on going to a gym to work out. As I stared out across the harbor, he was running all over the place and apparently causing a lot of trouble for the other guests in the area.

It was the last day of psychology class. 3:05. Another 30 minutes and we’ll be free. The room was dark and illuminated only by the glow of everyone’s laptop screens. It was pouring outside as I sat next to the window. I got out of my chair, thinking to myself that I should probably go to the bathroom. I nearly tripped on a bundle of power cords on my way out.

My room was a mess and I was already running late. What’s worse is that I didn’t even know when classes were supposed to start. It was 7:20 and I was still in my room, unable to find a schedule anywhere. I rushed downstairs.

Today was a special occasion. Most of us were watching from the balcony above while the festivities were happening in the gym below us. Apparently a freshman had created a rather embarrassing video to share. Something happened and a fight broke out. Meanwhile an alum of my previous school came out and pretended he was on fire.

The only thing I remember was the word “Bavaria” being spoken.

We were at some kind of outdoor fair as the day and events were ending. My dad and I were walking on our way home until we realized that my mother was no longer following us. Instead of heading back, we decided to just wait at the exit. Moments later she walked past us, carrying a whole manner of things like camping and photography equipment.

Class was dismissed so I walked out of the building and started walking towards the tour bus that was around 10 or so minutes away. On my way, I saw a hotel with a red sign that read: 廣州-廣州 (Guangzhou-Guangzhou). It was in a rather open space, perhaps it was in an unoccupied parking lot.
