I was about to step into the shower when I remembered that I had packed a shrink wrapped book into my luggage earlier. Or rather, I remembered that I shouldn’t have put it in luggage. Either way, the suitcase was now inaccessible. I asked the other person who was also about to shower in the neighboring stall if she had my keys. She handed them to me and I caught them and ran out onto the street. I was in the city and on the search for a bookstore in order to get that book back into my hands again.

The three of us were on a small boat. One might go so far as to say that it was simply a fancy pastel pink motorized dinghy. We pulled into the dock that had a space the size of parking for a regular land motor vehicle. Everyone was speaking a language that was derived exclusively from terms relating to water.

I was in class for Reactor Training and our lesson for the day was about troubleshooting. Eventually I was calculating various velocities and using equations to solve interpersonal conflicts.

A test was set down in front of me and its purpose was to give me a chance to prove myself. The only way this would work was if a pharaoh was also taking the test at the same time.

I had just gotten out of bed and was heading for breakfast. I had not finished the homework due for the day nor had I done the reading very thoroughly. The homework itself concerned something about the morphological analysis of the Japanese language. A girl caught up to me, claiming that she didn’t understand the reading (or rather “didn’t learn anything”) and only remembered that the author’s last name was Lester.

Our Mandarin class was going out for some kind of school trip. It was evening and many of us were hungry. We were staying on top of a convenience store so I went out of the room to get something to eat. I asked around and ended up picking some bread and precooked beef, carrots and broccoli.

I got up from bed and walked outside to the water. I looked up and started to shout about disabilities and showering. After I was done, I walked to the cafeteria to get something to eat. It seemed like the only options left were all desserts of some kind.

We were doing some kind of experiment while a white lab rat was running around the room. The people around me seemed intent on drowning the rat. We watched it run around and climb on the furniture, stopping every so often to regain its bearings. After a while, the rat climbed into a paint bucket full of water in the sink on its own accord. People were delighted as it struggled to get back out. It only took a few seconds before the rat got out when a girl walked by, picked up the rat, and set it into another bucket full of water. Each successive time the small creature crawled out, she got more and more aggressive with her handling of the rat. By the end, she was throwing the critter back into the water every time it poked its head from the top.

I filled up my water bottle at the sink and after I twisted the cap on, I looked at the contents to find that it was full of sand with a layer of oil floating above of it. The people around me were engaged in their own conversations when I spoke up and said, “Uh, I’m getting sandy water here, is someone going to fix that?” “Oh! Just use a filter, it’ll be fine.” came the reply.

Five or so of us were sitting around a table in an unlit room. Someone had a paper bag full of cream puffs and bagels. “What are you doing with those?” I asked. “Oh, well you know how commons are like on the weekends” she replied.
